About Us

Inclusive Neighbourhoods is a collective of agencies who are working together to promote kindness, connection and togetherness in communities in a safe and lasting way.

This project was made possible thanks to funding from the Department of Premier and Cabinet and the Julia Farr MS McLeod Benevolent Fund. Over a period of two years we have gathered information about Inclusive Neighbourhood Circles in and around Adelaide, South Australia. We have looked at why and how they were established, why they have worked and what needs to happen so that more people can get involved, either by joining an existing initiative or by starting their own.

For more information about our research please see the following documents:

Part 1 – “A space at the heart of our community”, Mapping neighbourhood circles and initiatives across the greater Adelaide region

Part 2 – “Inclusion is everyone’s responsibility”, Thinking about what it might take

While this initial stage of our research focused on greater metropolitan Adelaide, we’d love to explore neighbourhood initiatives in the regions. If you know of any that you’d like to share, please get in touch.
